The Club is a well recognised and sucessful organisation, providing a valuable service to both its members and the wider community. The Club provides a way for Gold Coast locals to enhance the sense of community and team spirit, socialise, develop mental abilities and helps people to stay young and healthy.
Some of the many benefits bridge provides are illustrated here.
We are very appreciative of grants the club receives from time to time from all levels of government, and selected private organisations.
This includes:
2020 City of Gold Coast $5,000 The City of Gold Coast has been a benefactor to the club by granting $5,000, during the COVID lockdown. This amount was used for the installation of security cameras in and around the club. This essential work was done because of an increase in trespassers on the property.
2020 Queensland Government $10,000 As a consequence of Covid 19 the GCBC was granted in October a $10,000 grant from the QLD state govement which was used on fees that had to be paid to the ABF and the QBA.
2020 City of Gold Coast $5,000 The City of Gold Coast has been a benefactor to the club by granting $5,000 during the COVID lockdown. This amount was used for the repair of the front door mechanism. This essential work was carried out as the door had to be open and closed manually.
